3SS, a leading provider of software solutions for set-top boxes, smart TVs, and in-vehicle entertainment, has announced the appointment of James Twitchett as its new Head of Product. This newly created role will see Twitchett spearheading the company’s product strategy and development, with a strong emphasis on improving the overall customer experience across all platforms.

His responsibilities will encompass guiding the product vision, refining brand experiences, and integrating artificial intelligence into 3SS’s offerings. The position covers the company’s involvement in pay-TV, telecommunications, and in-vehicle entertainment sectors.

Twitchett brings a wealth of experience to 3SS, having spent six years at OTT solutions provider Deltatre in various senior roles. He progressed from Product Programme Manager to Director of Product Management, significantly contributing to product strategy, licensing, and customer engagement.

Prior to Deltatre, Twitchett worked at BT, holding several positions from 2013 to 2018. His experience includes working on BT Sport’s technology and distribution strategy, collaborating with major UK operators such as Virgin, EE, BT TV, Sky, and Plusnet on their Box Office pay-per-view offerings.

Commenting on his appointment, Twitchett stated, “I am so excited to join 3SS, a pioneering technology innovator that has redefined what people can expect from their entertainment user experience. I really look forward to working with service providers, both operators and those in the automotive space, and help deliver transformative services to consumers.” He added, “I look forward to building on my knowledge and understanding from the TV and entertainment space, working with my 3SS colleagues to devise and deploy product-led business strategies, and also to opening new horizons for advanced entertainment in vehicles.”

Pierre Donath, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at 3SS, welcomed Twitchett, saying, “James has a demonstrable depth of experience in delivering world-class services to consumers. With his proven commercial and technological expertise, and track record in product development and marketing, as well as his abiding commitment to delivering superior viewing experiences, we’re delighted to welcome James to the 3SS team.”
