Arabsat and Qvest Media have announced a significant partnership to develop a new OTT streaming platform. The Memorandum of Understanding, signed at FOMEX 2025 in Riyadh, marks a key step in Arabsat's strategy to expand its direct-to-consumer services and offer white-label solutions to broadcasters and content providers.
Qvest will provide Arabsat with crucial support, including business and technology consultancy, assistance with securing content partnerships, and strategic guidance to optimize its digital media ecosystem. This collaboration will also facilitate partnerships with both local and international content providers, significantly broadening Arabsat's content library and appeal.
“This partnership with Qvest furthers Arabsat’s strategy to transform media distribution. By offering reliable advanced OTT streaming capabilities alongside traditional satellite services, Arabsat helps broadcasters boost audience reach and engagement in a changing media landscape,” said Eng. Alhamedi Alanezi, President & CEO, Arabsat.
Ahmad Hadi Al Kayal, General Manager of Qvest MENA, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Our collaboration will not only provide ARABSAT with a cutting-edge streaming infrastructure but also enable business growth through a flexible and highly scalable digital media ecosystem.” This partnership highlights the increasing importance of OTT services in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
