Amazon Prime Video and France Télévisions have announced a significant partnership, bringing the extensive france.tv offering to Prime members in France starting July 3rd. This collaboration provides immediate access to a wealth of content for Prime subscribers.

The agreement grants Prime members in France access to live broadcasts from channels like France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, and France Info. In addition to live television, users will have access to a vast library of on-demand programs, including previews, replays, and exclusive content. The expansive library boasts approximately 20,000 titles and will feature prominently on the Prime Video homepage.

Delphine Ernotte Cunci, President and CEO of France Télévisions, stated: “We are very pleased to make france.tv accessible to all Prime Video users starting July 3. With this unprecedented distribution method, our group is taking a historic step to strengthen the visibility of its public service offering, and thus allow all audiences to rediscover and discover the unique richness of france.tv in new environments.”

Christophe Deguine, CEO of Prime Video in France, added: “After Max, Paramount+, Ciné+OCS, Universal+, and MGM+, alongside 43 additional channels, we are delighted to have reached this agreement and to be able to make France Télévisions’ extensive catalog available to all our Prime customers in France. We are constantly looking for new ways to expand the quality content offerings available to our customers and confirm Prime Video as the number 1 destination for entertainment.”

The diverse content available includes entertainment, sports, documentaries, drama, and news through France Info. This partnership marks a significant expansion of Prime Video’s offerings and demonstrates a commitment to providing a wide range of high-quality content for its subscribers. The immediate availability of france.tv contrasts with the Netflix and TF1 agreement, which is not scheduled to launch until next year.
