beIN Sports and Bundesliga International have announced a new, exclusive agreement to broadcast Bundesliga matches in France. This deal extends their long-standing partnership, which began in 2012, securing broadcasting rights until the end of the 2028-2029 season.

While financial details remain undisclosed, the renewal underscores the growing popularity of the Bundesliga in France. This surge in viewership is partly attributed to the impressive performances of several French players in the German league, most notably Michael Olise, who earned the rookie of the season award after a stellar performance with FC Bayern München. The success of other French stars like Kingsley Coman has also played a significant role.

“The number of Bundesliga fans in France has boomed in the last two seasons off the back of performances by our Les Bleus stars, like Olise and Kingsley Coman. We’re grateful to beIN for helping to spread the word about football as it’s meant to be in France, which included promotional initiatives such as sending fans over to Germany for weekends packed with Bundesliga action,” commented Peer Naubert, Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Bundesliga International.

Laurent De Camas, Managing Director of beIN Sports France, expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “beIN Sports is delighted and very proud to be associated with the Bundesliga for a further four seasons and to extend the adventure until the end of the 2028-2029 season. This partnership demonstrates the relationship of trust that binds us to the Bundesliga and enriches a rich portfolio of rights.”
