In preparation for the NFL's 2025 season, CBS Sports has implemented substantial changes to its on-screen graphics during live game coverage. A key update is a redesigned Eyebar, the network's term for its score bug. This redesign involves removing fantasy stats from the Eyebar itself and placing them in a separate, smaller box in the upper left corner. CBS explained to NCS that this mirrors the style of its constant leaderboard during golf broadcasts.

This alteration allows the remaining Eyebar elements to expand vertically while maintaining a focus on the game. The current score now features a significantly larger font size—almost double the previous season's size—resembling similar updates Fox Sports made to its score bug for Super Bowl coverage earlier in 2025. The overall layout is cleaner, with more spacing between elements. Team logos are now larger, avoiding the previously implemented cropping to fit smaller spaces.

To reduce screen clutter, CBS has removed virtual down and distance indicators generated using extended reality technology. This information is now displayed in the top part of the central section between the team boxes, below the current quarter, game clock, and play clock. The Eyebar's overall shape is less "bar-like," having increased in height but decreased in width, differing from other NFL broadcasters who usually utilize a wider layout. The animation accompanying the Eyebar's appearance highlights team logos and the CBS eye and wordmark before settling.

The new design uses subtle depth effects instead of bold 3D effects. The network bug has been relocated to the upper right of the screen, consistent across all CBS Sports coverage, and enclosed in a subtly bordered box similar to the fantasy stats box. A thin line accent in the fantasy box indicates which team possesses the ball, mirroring the Eyebar's design. It's important to note that these Eyebar updates will not be applied to college football coverage.
