Insys Video Technologies has earned Amazon Web Services (AWS) Migration and Modernization Competency status. This achievement underscores the Polish media technology provider's success in assisting clients with their video workflow transitions to the cloud.

Insys VT, now under the Big Blue Marble brand (a merger with Austrian ORS Group), is an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner. The company stated this recognition reflects their “technical expertise and proven customer success” in accelerating application migration initiatives on AWS. AWS created this competency program to help clients find partners skilled in application modernization before or after cloud migration, validating those with a "strong record of customer success and technical proficiency in migration and application modernisation tooling."

Insys VT has aided numerous clients in moving from on-premise and hybrid video workflows to the AWS Cloud, managing processes encompassing transcoding, content protection, and monetisation. These projects have resulted in “reduced costs, greater agility, and higher resilience,” according to the company.

A prime example is their collaboration with the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT), which migrated its entire media library and video workflow to a custom AWS-based streaming platform. This migration was facilitated by the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP). “Most people are aware that switching platforms is costly, but I’m not sure they fully understand the extent,” said Jeffrey Tocci, Chief Technology Officer at DGPT. “With nine different platforms, user base migration, the new subscription tiers, and payment system… I don’t think we would have been able to migrate onto a new platform without the MAP.”

Krzysztof Bartkowski, CEO of Insys VT, added: “Receiving the AWS Migration and Modernization Competency is an important milestone for Insys Video Technologies and Big Blue Marble. It highlights our ability to help customers not only migrate their workloads to AWS, but modernise them in a way that brings lasting business value.”

Insys Video Technologies and ORS Group will jointly showcase their OTT solutions at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam under the Big Blue Marble banner in hall 5 at booths H97 and H99.
