Kabelnoord, a telecommunications provider serving the Northern Netherlands, has unveiled its new television service, built and operated by Zattoo. Following last year's partnership announcement, Kabelnoord now provides customers with an improved IPTV experience leveraging Zattoo's TV- and Streaming-as-a-Service platform.
The upgraded Kabelnoord TV service is accessible on a variety of devices, including Android TV set-top boxes, Android TV itself, Apple iOS, Android Mobile, and web browsers. This ensures a smooth entertainment experience both at home and on the go. Zattoo highlights that Kabelnoord's fibre network provides an excellent infrastructure for this IPTV solution, enabling reliable, high-performance streaming. This perfectly aligns with Kabelnoord's commitment to innovation and local quality.
Beyond national and international channels, Kabelnoord TV includes a curated selection of local content specifically chosen for regional viewers in Friesland. This ensures the platform's continued relevance to its primary user base. "Launching our new TV service with Zattoo marks a milestone for us and our customers," stated Daan van Beek, CEO of Kabelnoord. "Our close collaboration has allowed us to deliver a product that combines technical excellence with the personal touch our customers expect. The local content integration and platform usability are direct results of our joint commitment to quality."
Jörg Meyer, Chief Commercial Officer at Zattoo, added: “We’re proud to support Kabelnoord in taking their next step in TV service evolution. Their dedication to optimizing the end-user experience from day one has been outstanding. This launch proves that regional ISPs can deliver IPTV offerings with us every bit as compelling as those of national players.”
