Max, the popular streaming platform, has recently unveiled a new Member Add-On feature designed to enhance user experience and combat piracy. This innovative feature allows subscribers to add an extra member to their existing account for a monthly fee of $7.99, regardless of their chosen subscription tier.
This new functionality also includes the ability to smoothly transfer an adult profile to the added member's account. “Extra Member Add-On and Profile Transfer are two key Max advancements, designed to help viewers with a new way to enjoy our best-in-class content at an exceptional value, and offer subscribers greater flexibility in managing their accounts,” explained JB Perrette, CEO and President, Global Streaming and Games, Warner Bros Discovery. He further elaborated, “These updates provide a simple way for subscribers to add-on a new member to their account, or for existing subscribers who have users outside of their household to smoothly, and in an uninterrupted fashion, transition their profile so that extra member can continue to access Max.”
Each added member receives unique login credentials separate from the primary account. They can stream from one profile on a single device at a time, enjoying all the benefits included in the primary account holder's subscription plan. Importantly, the Member Add-On is limited to one additional member per account. In the United States, Max offers a Basic with Ads plan for $9.99/month and a Premium plan for $20.99/month.
