Pickbox has announced the expansion of its linear television offerings with the introduction of a second pay-TV channel, named Pickbox 2. Launched on December 1st, this new service joins the existing Pickbox TV channel, which is being rebranded as Pickbox 1.
Targeting a different viewing experience, Pickbox 2 is marketed with the slogan “Less crime, more feeling.” It is designed to be a lighter, more uplifting companion to Pickbox 1. Instead of focusing on crime and darker drama, its programming centers around emotions, everyday escape, and relaxed viewing. The schedule will feature familiar international formats, including reality series from the US and UK, Latino telenovelas, home and lifestyle shows, and popular cooking programs. The company emphasizes that the channel will avoid heavy topics, news, and conflict-driven content, choosing instead to offer comforting entertainment.
Sanja Božić-Ljubičić, CEO and founder of Pickbox, stated that “Pickbox 2 represents an important step in expanding the Pickbox brand, allowing us to bring even more entertainment to viewers across the region.” She added that the channel provides operators with a clearly defined, commercially viable pay-TV option for their offerings.
Pickbox primarily serves the Central and South-East European region. Its services are currently available in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria.
