Beginning January 21, 2025, Sky TV customers bundled with Paramount+ via their Sky Cinema subscription will automatically transition to the new Paramount+ Basic (with ads) plan. This follows Sky’s recent efforts to enhance the value of its £10 monthly premium movie channel package, including the addition of two free Vue cinema tickets and the inclusion of Paramount+ since its launch.

Similar to how Sky subscribers initially supported the launch of Paramount+, known for shows like Yellowstone, Star Trek, and The Agency, their subscriptions are now contributing to the cost-per-thousand of the new ad-supported plan. This strategy mirrors that of other streaming giants such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, who have also introduced advertising tiers.

Sky currently indicates that upgrading to Paramount+'s other tiers is not yet feasible for existing subscribers. Independently, Paramount+ offers its Basic with Ads plan for £4.99 per month in HD quality. The Standard Plan costs £6.99 per month, and the Premium Plan, featuring 4K UHD, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos on select titles, is priced at £10.99 per month.
