The U.S. Space Force has awarded a five-year, $25 million contract to Integrate, a Seattle-based software startup. This contract, announced June 11, is for Integrate’s project management platform, designed to help large organizations coordinate complex projects within secure environments. It represents one of the Space Force’s largest Small Business Innovation Research Phase 3 agreements.

This software will be used by the Space Systems Command’s Mission Manifest Office (MMO) in Los Angeles. The MMO's role is to improve efficiency in national security space launches by surveying upcoming missions and identifying available launch vehicle capacity. It then coordinates across U.S. government entities—including the Department of Defense, NASA, and the intelligence community—and commercial vendors to facilitate “rideshare” opportunities for satellites or payloads.

Integrate, founded in 2022, initially partnered with the Space Force through an SBIR Phase 2 contract in 2023. CEO John Conafay stated that the MMO chose Integrate’s tool for its ability to unify “complex, cross-organizational programs.” The software aims to replace less efficient methods like emails, spreadsheets, and fragmented tools with a secure, collaborative environment.

While Integrate’s software is a commercial product used in aerospace, automotive, defense, and energy sectors, modifications were needed to meet the Space Force’s stringent classification requirements. The platform is built on Amazon Web Services’ GovCloud, enabling operation in both classified and hybrid environments.

Conafay highlighted the persistent challenge of project coordination in both government and commercial sectors. “It’s one of those absolutely necessary but unsexy parts of how we do all of these complex things, whether it’s getting to space faster, designing rockets faster,” Conafay said. “This contract validates the importance of these management tools.”

The Integrate platform targets organizations with extended project timelines, strict compliance needs, and complex supply chains—characteristics prevalent in the aerospace and defense industry.
