Vectra is amplifying its super-aggregator strategy in Poland by introducing a year-long Disney+ promotion and a pioneering HBO Max "TV and Sport Channels" add-on. This move solidifies its partnerships with major global streaming platforms within its pay-TV and broadband packages.
The promotion, launched this week, offers new and existing Vectra customers who subscribe to select internet, TV, or mobile plans on 23-month contracts a free 12-month subscription to Disney+. The offer includes the Standard Plan, with an option to upgrade to Premium. It aims to attract families by incorporating Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Hulu content into Vectra’s offerings at no additional cost for the first year.
Simultaneously, Vectra has become the first operator in Poland to enable direct activation of HBO Max's "TV and Sport Channels" package within the HBO Max platform. This add-on, priced at PLN 20 (approximately €4.60) per month on a rolling basis, grants subscribers access to 25 live channels, premium sports content, and news on up to two devices simultaneously, without long-term commitments. This effectively transforms Max into a virtual pay-TV environment for Vectra users.
Existing HBO Max subscribers on Vectra can easily add or remove the live bundle monthly, allowing them to focus on specific events and tournaments. The Disney+ promotion is designed to boost the adoption of core Vectra services and reinforce its image as a comprehensive entertainment provider.
These strategic actions highlight how Vectra is leveraging its long-term collaborations with global SVOD services to protect and expand its market share. By combining prominent US streamers with adaptable linear-lite options, and facilitating access through apps and smart devices rather than solely relying on traditional set-top boxes, Vectra is adapting to the evolving media landscape. According to Vectra, the moves underline how Vectra is using long-term partnerships with global SVODs to defend and grow its footprint: packaging major US streamers with flexible linear-lite options, and pushing more of that experience through apps and smart devices rather than traditional set-top-only models.
