The modern world is rapidly developing, but despite the incredible speed of progress and the proximity of a flight to Mars, our Earth still holds many secrets that we have yet to uncover. The National Geographic channel promises to lift the veil on these mysteries in the project "One Strange Rock". Users of the VOля Cinema library will be able to exclusively see the first episode a week before the world premiere - on March 19. The series is available in Ukrainian and English.

This was announced in a press release from the company.

The new documentary series from National Geographic is a captivating journey through different corners of the Earth and space. The creators promise to show our planet as we have never known it before, and to do so in an entertaining and provocative manner. They plan to amaze viewers with unexpected facts about Earth and memories of flights from legendary astronauts, as well as exclusive footage from space taken using the most modern equipment.

The project was directed by multiple Oscar nominee Darren Aronofsky ("The Wrestler", "Black Swan", "Requiem for a Dream"), and the host is actor and singer Will Smith ("Hancock", "The Pursuit of Happyness", "Men in Black").

"By uniting the incomparable Will Smith and astronauts, we are telling the story of our very complex planet," noted Tim Pastore, president of programming and production at National Geographic. "Thanks to the unique talents of Darren Aronofsky and Jane Root, "One Strange Rock" will be a feast for the eyes of our viewers and allow them to see Earth as they have never seen it before."

"I am thrilled that Will Smith has joined our team. His charisma, intelligence and humanity will be an integral part of the story of the wonders of planet Earth that allow us to live on it," said Darren Aronofsky.

"One Strange Rock" will air on the National Geographic channel every week starting March 25 at 6.00 PM and 10.00 PM.
