The 1+1 media group informs about the postponement of the date of encoding the satellite signal of the TV channels 1+1, 2+2, TET, Bigudi, PLUSPLUS, UNIAN TV from January 20 to January 28, 2020. This decision was made today, January 16, at the request of official satellite operators and based on the results of an analysis of the level of population readiness. According to their reports, there is now a rapid growth in information requests from Ukrainians regarding encoding, and the demand for connecting to the service significantly exceeds supply, the 1+1 media press service reports.

«Despite the comprehensive information provided to satellite subscribers about changes in broadcasting, unfortunately, not everyone took care of purchasing tuners in advance, returning to this issue only now. Given the rapid growth in demand among subscribers for satellite receivers and queues for connecting subscribers to official satellite operators, the group is taking a forced postponement of signal encoding in favor of the population. This additional time will allow subscribers who postponed encoding to the last day to have time to ensure themselves the ability to watch their favorite TV channels via satellite after encoding, and official satellite operators will be able to process all appeals from citizens», − commented Yaroslav Pakholchuk, CEO of 1+1 media.

We remind you that the changes will only affect subscribers of the open satellite, while for subscribers of the paid satellite, digital terrestrial (T2), cable and Internet television nothing will change.

Today it became known that 1+1 media, StarLightMedia, «Inter Media Group» and «Media Group Ukraine» also postponed the date of encoding their channels on the satellite from January 20 to January 28, 2020.
