Bridge Technologies, a leading provider of broadcast monitoring solutions, will present its groundbreaking QTT Application at NAB 2025 (Booth N315). This cutting-edge technology employs autonomous software agents that mimic end-user playback of protected content. These agents continuously authenticate with video platforms, obtain authorization from DRM systems, and retrieve live services from CDNs for playback on a high-density video player network.

The QTT Application continuously monitors for authentication problems and provides key operational metrics, including player alarms, time to playing, interval to first picture, and incorrect profile selection. These metrics offer insights into the health and performance of the video platform and CDN. Furthermore, picture analysis and alerting ensure accurate verification of program and advertisement insertion. This is especially critical for next-generation OTT deployments with dispersed ingest, processing, and distribution architectures, where service administration may not be centralized.

The QTT Application offers a centralized network view of OTT video platforms and pinpoints CDN behavior in any geographic region. It seamlessly integrates with the VB330 probe and VBC controller. Bridge handles the integration process for each customer, ensuring compatibility with their specific DRM system. A highly redundant and load-balanced player suite emulates real subscribers using powerful CPE devices, enabling continuous checks of all live services. Decrypted video thumbnails are sent to the VB330 for analysis and logging, triggering alerts for content issues (like frozen content or black screens) and CDN performance problems.

Timeline storage of these thumbnails and comprehensive SLA reporting make the QTT Application invaluable not only for real-time error detection, but also for long-term network diagnostics and strategic decision-making. The recent addition of innovative Zapping-time monitoring and visualization further enhances its capabilities. Regarding the NAB 2025 demonstration, Chairman Simen Frostad stated: “For broadcasters aiming to maintain high service quality in an industry where OTT services are rapidly expanding, our QTT Application represents a significant advancement. It offers broadcasters the tools needed to deliver content seamlessly and securely, ensuring reliable content delivery and swift issue resolution on an ongoing basis.” He added: “By integrating with our VB330 and VBC products, we’re providing a comprehensive solution that addresses the unique challenges of DRM-protected streaming services. And by simulating real-user interactions, we offer unparalleled insights into platform performance, enhancing both reliability and viewer satisfaction.”
