Unpleasant surprise for those who receive unencrypted broadcasts of paid thematic channels History and Crime + Investigation in the Czech version from the Thor 5 satellite (0.8° W). Telenor has encrypted the stations after they had been distributed in FTA for many months.

Among pay-TV subscribers in Poland, History and Crime + Investigation are known, the latter operates as Crime + Investigation (CI Polsat). Encrypted broadcasts from the Thor 5 satellite are intended for other European markets, such as the Czech Republic and Hungary.

On Monday, January 11, 2021, changes were made to the signal distribution of both channels - several conditional access systems were included (Conax CAiD - 0B00 and 0B02; Nagra MA - CAiD 1815; Irdeto - CAiD 0D97 and 0653), which correspond to freeSAT, UPC Direct and Focus sb. However, the Czech freeSAT access card will not decrypt either of the two channels on the frequency of 12,418 V.
