simpliTV, a familiar name in Austrian homes, is now simpli, reflecting a significant shift from a traditional television provider to a comprehensive entertainment platform, seamlessly integrating broadcast and streaming services. The rebranding includes a fresh name, logo, and design, aiming to capture the dynamic and engaging nature of television in today's digital landscape.

"Television touches, moves and surprises people every day – and we are the gateway to that experience. The new brand expresses exactly this,” stated Philipp Dainese, CEO of simpli, highlighting the company's vision.

For over a decade, simpliTV has been a reliable source of TV content for Austrian viewers via DTT, satellite, and streaming. Now, the company is evolving into a central hub for entertainment, offering both linear TV and on-demand content organized into curated thematic sections, such as Crime and Motorsport.

“Our goal is to make the best of both worlds – television and streaming – easily accessible,” explained Dainese. “We no longer see simpli merely as a TV provider, but as Austria’s entertainment platform.”

A new "highlights" feature enables users to catch key moments from select football matches on demand, while the simpli app provides viewing access across the EU. The service is compatible with various devices, including smartphones, smart TVs, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.

Dainese emphasized the importance of local presence: “International platforms rely on global algorithms and paywalls. We understand what Austria wants to watch.” To maintain this local connection, simpli continues to offer customer support through its Austria-based team, ensuring personalized assistance rather than relying solely on automated online help.

The CEO views this relaunch as a strong statement in the competitive streaming market: “Streaming in Austria needs its own fresh, local voice – and we want to be that voice. With the new brand, I’m confident we can achieve it.”
