Thomson Smart TVs are set to include a dedicated button on their remote controls thanks to a new agreement spanning across Europe. This development means effortless access to the Canal+ App.
The Canal+ App will be pre-installed on new Thomson Smart TVs, including models powered by TiVo, in several European countries: France, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium, and Romania. To further streamline access, a dedicated Canal+ button will be incorporated into all Thomson TV remotes in these regions, enabling one-press access to the app upon powering on the TV. Services from the local Canal+ group, such as Skylink, FOCUS+, TV Vlaanderen, and Télésat, will also be pre-loaded where relevant.

The launch will be supported by co-branded packaging as well as promotions both in retail stores and online. Canal+ emphasizes that this partnership is part of its broader strategy to increase app distribution to its substantial base of nearly 40 million subscribers worldwide.
