Viasat True Crime is set to launch across all platforms operated by United Group, making the channel accessible in Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Greece. This follows the channel's highly successful launch in Poland in 2024, where a remarkable 6.4 million viewers tuned in since its debut.
Following its Polish success, Viasat True Crime has expanded into Croatia, Czechia, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Now, this fully localized crime-themed television channel will be available on United Group's EON TV platforms across six additional countries. Viasat World has also secured the SVOD rights for a significant portion of the channel's new content.
Viasat True Crime and its SVOD offerings will be integrated into Telemach Slovenia, Telemach Croatia, Telemach Bosnia, Telemach Montenegro, Vivacom Bulgaria, and Nova Greece starting April 2025. Benjamin Groocock, CEO for Viasat World, stated: “We couldn’t be more delighted that United Group has chosen to launch Viasat True Crime on all its platforms across multiple territories. Our newest channel has been on an accelerated growth trajectory since it first launched in June 2024 and is now available to fans throughout much of Central and Eastern Europe.”
Suzana Radošević, Content Management Director at United Group, added: “Our commitment to delivering better services to our subscribers remains at the forefront, and we believe this collaboration will enhance our linear and SVOD offerings with fresh, exciting movies and series from the highly popular true crime genre.” Viasat True Crime offers a wide variety of captivating content, exploring the world's most shocking crimes through in-depth documentaries, chilling true crime dramas, and compelling crime-fighting reality shows.
