The broadcasting of the French television channel France 24 has been suspended in the African country of Burkina Faso. This was reported by the Reuters agency. On March 1, the Burkina Faso government denounced the military agreement with France, signed over 60 years ago. At the beginning of January, the state terminated the defense agreement with Paris, under which a French special forces contingent of up to 400 soldiers was stationed in the country. In February of this year, French troops, who had been in Burkina Faso since 2009, left the country. The African state noted that there is growing discontent with France and its policies on the continent. In this regard, in recent months, large demonstrations against the presence of France have taken place in Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Niger, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
