The "Hockey" TV channel is expanding the diversity of its content with sports programs and broadcasts of other sports. Accordingly, the name of the channel is also changing. Now the channel will be called "XSPORT".

On June 10, 2013, a new Ukrainian multi-sports channel "XSPORT" will appear on the air. It will replace the "Hockey" channel, combining bright hockey matches with top broadcasts of other sports in the broadcast grid. The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting made the corresponding changes to the satellite and terrestrial digital licenses of LLC "Totvild" at its meeting on May 28, 2013.
"Over the year and a half of the "Hockey" channel's existence, we have seen significant interest from the Ukrainian audience in sports in general. Despite the fact that some TV channels have abandoned sports news, and broadcasts of sporting events are somewhat limited, there is a demand for such content, - says Yuri Gromnitsky, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the "XSPORT" channel. - Therefore, it was decided to expand the channel's program grid, adding other sports to the existing hockey broadcasts at the initial stage - tennis and athletics. Accordingly, the "Hockey" channel was renamed to the "XSPORT" channel.
Throughout the summer, viewers of the "XSPORT" channel will see live not only the Stanley Cup playoff games, but also the prestigious and oldest tennis tournament Wimbledon and the Diamond League athletics competitions, the first broadcast of which will take place next Monday, June 10. It should be noted that in the fall, "XSPORT" will present to the general public a detailed concept of the new channel and a full broadcast lineup, which promises to be filled with bright sporting events from around the world.
