The Donetsk branch of the public broadcaster has received a license for satellite broadcasting. The TV channel "Do TeBe" has been broadcasting on both sides of the demarcation line since April 3.
Since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), regional branches of the National Television Company of Ukraine (now - the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine) in Donetsk and Luhansk regions were located in the captured territories. Subsequently, it was decided to resume the work of the Donetsk and Luhansk OGTRK in the territories controlled by Ukraine - in Severodonetsk and Kramatorsk. However, the signals of these TV channels were not available to local residents.
Signal transmission is carried out in the DVB-S/MPEG-2 standard around the clock in uncoded mode.
Recall that as a result of the reform of public broadcasting, all OGTRK were joined to NTKU (since January 19, 2017 - NSTU) and are part of the common system of public television. Prior to this, the Donetsk and Luhansk branches broadcasted on the digital network based on temporary permits and exclusively in the territory controlled by Ukraine. Accordingly, residents living in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions previously did not have the opportunity to watch their regional television.
Earlier we wrote that the satellite TV channel "UΛ:Krim" has started broadcasting.
