German TV broadcaster High View has closed its music channels Deluxe Rock and Deluxe Flashback on 1 October 2024. Deluxe Lounge was only switched off via satellite on Astra (19.2° East), but can still be received on streaming platforms such as waipu.tv.

A High View spokesperson confirmed the changes to the channel portfolio to Broadband TV News and announced that the music previously played on Deluxe Rock and Deluxe Flashback will be integrated into the main channel Deluxe Music. “The various music genres are perceived and utilised differently in view of the rapidly changing media usage. That’s why we are responding quickly to the needs of our audience and continuing to offer genres such as rock and flashback on all distribution infrastructures via Deluxe Music,” said the spokesperson.

“Our focus is on further developing different music genres across all platforms, including in the fast-growing Connected TV (CTV) sector, in order to offer our viewers the greatest possible musical diversity. An impressive example of this is the successful launch of Deluxe Dance by Kontor on Samsung TV Plus.”
