Luxembourg-based M7 Group has concluded a multi-year agreement with Antenna Entertainment for the satellite launch of dedicated Czech versions of AXN Black and AXN White via Astra 23.5 East and the M7-owned Skylink TV platform.
Antenna Entertainment is part of Antenna Group, a privately owned international media and entertainment company with a leading presence in Central & Eastern Europe, operating a wide range of free-to-air and pay-tv channels in more than 40 countries. The new agreement builds upon a long-standing partnership between M7 and Antenna Entertainment for the satellite distribution of AXN Czechia and some of the portfolio’s Hungarian channels such as AXN Hungary, VIASAT2 and VIASAT Film via the M7 satellite platform at 1 degree West for both third party delivery as well as distribution to local subscribers.
Kim Poder, Chief Operating Officer of Antenna Group, said: “The new agreement confirms our trust in M7 as high-quality satellite distribution partner in the CEE region. For Antenna Entertainment, it is of key importance that our customers can rely on flawless technical distribution services. This is what M7 Platform Services has been providing for many years and we look forward to our extended partnership.”
Bill Wijdeveld, VP Platform Content Services at M7 Group, commented: “We are quite pleased with this new satellite agreement for the Czech market. I is also another vote of confidence in M7 Platform Services as leading satellite distribution provider for the CEE region. We very much thank Antenna Entertainment for its trust, and we look forward to a continued fruitful cooperation.”
