The Canal+ Group is celebrating the initial report from Médiamétrie’s Watch, a groundbreaking system that merges audience data for traditional TV broadcasters and online video platforms within metropolitan France. According to Canal+, their channels reached 54.4 million individuals across diverse screens and locations in September 2025, amassing a total viewing time of 424 million hours throughout the month.

Dailymotion, a sister platform, reported 22.9 million viewers in this initial release, though its data currently only reflects at-home viewing. Médiamétrie developed Watch to establish a unified standard for evaluating TV and video consumption. The data provided to Canal+ encompasses both free-to-air and subscription-based services across various devices. The current scope for platforms like Dailymotion is limited to in-home viewership.

Canal+ views these results as proof of the combined power of its linear and digital presence, highlighting the broad reach of its high-quality and innovative content, accessible “on all screens.” Future versions of Watch are anticipated to expand platform coverage beyond the home, providing a more complete understanding of video consumption across various screens.
