Canal+ and Austrian public broadcaster ORF will continue their successful collaboration this season, bringing Austrian viewers comprehensive coverage of the UEFA Champions League. This partnership centers around a joint highlight program, "Mehr Fußball – Die Champions League Highlights," airing on ORF and Canal+ Action.

Canal+ holds exclusive Austrian rights to the Wednesday top match, beginning September 17th with Bayern Munich versus Chelsea. Following the match, at 23:00, ORF 1 and Canal+ Action will broadcast the joint highlight program, showcasing all goals and key match moments. The show, produced at Canal+’s Auhof Studios in Vienna, will be hosted by Elisabeth Gamauf (Canal+) and Rainer Pariasek (ORF), with expert commentary from Georg Teigl (Canal+) and Roman Mählich (ORF).

Thomas Trukesitz, Head of Sport at Canal+, stated: “Our exclusive rights position allows us to show Austrian fans the best UEFA Champions League matches live on Canal+. At the same time, together with ORF, we are relying on a proven partnership to present all the matches and goals compactly in the highlight show. Together, we deliver football at the highest level, week after week – live, informative and emotional.”

ORF Director General Roland Weißmann added: “The best from the Champions League will once again be available on ORF this season, compactly on ORF 1 or on demand via ORF ON. Cooperations on sports rights make sense when fans benefit – and that is exactly the case with this partnership with rights holder Canal+.”

Canal+’s exclusive rights extend to the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League’s top weekly match, with highlights airing after the live broadcast. Canal+ will be the sole broadcaster in Austria to show all three UEFA club competition finals.
