For the 2025 NFL season, CBS Sports implemented substantial changes to its on-screen graphics during live game broadcasts. A key alteration involves the redesign of the "Eyebar," the network's name for its score bug. Fantasy stats have been relocated from the Eyebar to a smaller box in the upper left corner, mirroring the network's golf coverage leaderboard.
This redesign resulted in a taller, less wide Eyebar. The current score now boasts a significantly larger font size. Team logos are displayed larger, abandoning the previous practice of cropping. Virtual down and distances, previously implemented using extended reality technology, have been removed, with this information now placed in the middle segment between the team boxes.
The updated Eyebar features a smoother, less cluttered look with improved spacing. The animation sequence when the Eyebar appears now highlights team logos and the CBS branding. Bold 3D effects have been replaced with subtle depth effects. The network bug has moved to the upper right of the screen, housed within a subtly bordered box, similar to the fantasy stats box. A thin line indicates which team possesses the ball. These updates, however, will not be extended to college football coverage.
