Channel 4 Sales has been chosen as the advertising sales partner for the Great Network, owned by Narrative Entertainment, in the UK and Ireland. This multi-year agreement will commence in January 2026.

The deal means Channel 4 Sales will replace Sky Media, taking over responsibility for spot and sponsorship opportunities across the four Great linear channels: Great TV, Great Mystery, Great Action, and Great Romance. The partnership strengthens Channel 4’s third-party portfolio, which includes UKTV owned by BBC Studios.

Narrative states that the Great Network currently reaches 7.5 million monthly viewers via Freeview, Sky, and Virgin Media. They have increased their commercial impacts year on year since 2021. After a brand refresh and new channel lineup in September, Great saw a record SOCI in October and has accounted for over 50% of the movies market for the past two months.

Rak Patel, chief commercial officer at Channel 4 said the agreement highlights Channel 4 Sales’ position as a “stable, British-owned and brand-safe” sales house for other media owners. Paul Dunthorne, managing director of Narrative Entertainment, believes the partnership will enable the Great channels to “capitalise” on their recent growth and provide better service to viewers and advertisers.

In the Republic of Ireland, Channel 4 Sales will collaborate with Medialink, who will represent the Great Network in the Irish TV advertising market.
