Priyanka Salve joins CNBC as its new senior correspondent focusing on India. Working from CNBC’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, she will be responsible for expanding the network's digital coverage of the Indian market and will serve as the lead writer for the Inside India newsletter.

Salve brings over ten years of experience covering markets, infrastructure, and corporate finance in India to her new role. Her previous positions include assistant editor at The Economic Times, financial reporter at Mergermarket, and principal correspondent at Cogencis Information Services (formerly Newswire18). She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media from St. Xavier’s College and a master’s degree in arts and international broadcast journalism from the University of London.
