Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) has entered into an agreement with Deutsche Telekom to introduce cloud-managed whole-home Wi-Fi mesh solutions across European markets. This collaboration integrates Comcast’s cloud-based Wi-Fi Mesh Platform, featuring agents for gateways and extenders, alongside hosted orchestration and public APIs, with Deutsche Telekom's (DT) existing customer platforms and applications.

The system is designed to work with both older and newer Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), offering real-time optimization features such as band steering and dynamic channel selection. It also provides self-optimizing coverage that adapts to device usage patterns and the layout of individual homes. The partnership encompasses a long-term services model that includes software updates, release management, and telemetry. This is intended to accelerate time-to-market and decrease dependence on older vendor systems.

According to DT’s Pedro Bandeira, this initiative supports the operator’s commitment to future-ready broadband services. Fraser Stirling, product chief at Comcast/Sky, described it as the next phase of their European collaboration, emphasizing scalable, reliable, and intelligent home connectivity.
