The Walt Disney Company and ITV have reached a significant agreement to cross-promote their content across their respective streaming services, Disney+ and ITVX. Starting July 16th, viewers will find a regularly updated selection of popular shows and movies from both platforms.

This collaboration aims to expand the reach of both Disney+ and ITVX by introducing each other's content to complementary audiences. ITVX viewers will have access to "A Taste of Disney+", while Disney+ subscribers will enjoy "A Taste of ITVX."

Joe Earley, President, Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment, stated: “We are proud of this innovative collaboration with ITV, which will allow us to bring Disney+ customers some of the UK’s favorite and buzzworthy shows and encourage ITVX viewers to discover some of Disney+’s award-winning series and blockbuster films.”

This partnership builds on the existing relationship between Disney and ITV. ITV Studios has produced several successful Disney+ shows, including Rivals (Happy Prince), Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes (Etta Pictures in association with KDJ Productions), and the revived Blind Date (So TV & Stellify Media).

This mutually beneficial alliance allows us to show our complementary audiences a specially selected collection of titles, regularly updating, that gives a flavour of the range in our respective offerings. For us, this deal means even more great content for viewers on ITVX, and even more opportunity for viewers to find and enjoy our distinctive titles and services.”

Disney+ customers in the UK will gain access to a range of ITV’s popular content, including dramas like Mr Bates vs The Post Office and Spy Among Friends, reality shows such as Love Island, and series like Endeavour, Vera, and Karen Pirie. Other offerings include Olivia Attwood’s Price of Perfection and The 1% Club.

Meanwhile, ITVX viewers will be treated to a rotating selection of Disney+ shows and movies, including The Bear, Andor, Only Murders in the Building, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, The Kardashians, Lilo and Stitch: The Series, and Phineas and Ferb.

Advertising revenue will be shared, with ITV Commercial handling ads for "A Taste of Disney+" on ITVX, and Disney selling ads for "A Taste of ITVX" on Disney+ Standard with Ads.
