German sports streaming service Dyn has significantly boosted the availability of its new free-to-air channel, Dyn Sport Mix. This expansion comes with the addition of Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite distribution via Astra (19.2° East).

The channel, which initially launched last month on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Zattoo, Joyn, and Pluto TV, is now accessible in HD via Astra. This provides access to more than 16 million TV households in Germany.

Dyn Sport Mix provides diverse sports content, including live matches, highlight reels, and magazine-style programming focusing on five key sports: handball, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and hockey. Viewers can enjoy selected live games, re-runs, and studio discussions such as “Kretzsche & Schmiso,” featuring former national handball star Stefan Kretzschmar and commentator Florian Schmidt-Sommerfeld, who offer insightful analyses of current sporting events.

Financed through advertising, the channel is free to access via Astra at the frequency 12,109 MHz H (SR 27,500, FEC 3/4). This Astra distribution marks a substantial increase in Dyn Sport Mix's reach across Germany, reinforcing its objective to showcase niche sports to a broader audience.
