Fox Sports and Barstool Sports have announced a significant content partnership designed to broaden their reach in college football, college basketball, and other Fox Sports programming. This exciting collaboration will feature a new daily two-hour studio show on FS1, showcasing a blend of Barstool personalities and established Fox Sports talent. The show, slated to run Monday through Friday, will soon have its launch date revealed.
One key element of this partnership will be the integration of Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy as a regular contributor to “Big Noon Kickoff,” starting this fall. Other prominent Barstool figures, such as Dan Katz (“Big Cat”), will also make appearances on the program. The partnership extends to Barstool’s existing college football show, which will now join Fox programming at select games throughout the season.
The “Barstool College Football Show,” currently airing on Barstool’s channels, will expand its reach to include Fox platforms like Tubi, the Fox Sports app, and FoxSports.com. This show will air from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Eastern. Fox and Barstool are also planning to incorporate Barstool talent into their college basketball coverage, including the College Basketball Crown tournament, launched by Fox Sports, which will return in the 2025-26 season.
This collaboration also encompasses digital content development, with both companies jointly producing online shows featuring personalities from each brand. While specifics remain undisclosed, this aspect promises further exciting content. Eric Shanks, CEO and executive producer of Fox Sports, stated that Barstool’s style and audience perfectly complement Fox Sports’ broader digital strategy. “Dave has built a one-of-a-kind brand that connects with a new generation of sports fans,” Shanks said. Portnoy himself expressed enthusiasm, calling the partnership unprecedented for Barstool in terms of access to resources and broadcast talent. “We can’t wait to collab and bring our voice to Fox Sports’ airwaves,” he said. Further programming details are anticipated in the coming months.
