LFP Media's Ligue 1+ streaming platform has announced a significant achievement, surpassing one million subscribers within its first month of operation. This surpasses the target initially projected for the entire 2025/2026 season. As of September 14th, the platform boasts 1,026,000 subscribers.
This impressive growth is particularly noteworthy given the absence of Canal+ as a broadcast partner. However, Ligue 1+ benefits from a wide distribution network including DAZN, Prime Video, RMC Sport, Molotov, Orange, Free, SFR, and Bouygues Telecom. It is also directly available on Samsung, LG, Google, Apple, and FireTV devices.
Strategic bundled offerings and focused marketing campaigns have significantly expanded the platform's market reach. A remarkable 72% of current subscribers have committed to a full-season subscription. LFP Media attributes this success to "strong public engagement with the French Ligue 1 championship and its clubs and a compelling editorial experience curated with club support."
Launched on August 15th, Ligue 1+ broadcasts ten of the season's biggest matches, eight live matches each matchday (Friday to Sunday), and a free-to-air highlights show on Sunday evenings. The ninth live match, screened by beIN Sports, is shown with a time delay. The monthly subscription fee is €14.99, with a reduced rate of €9.99 for those under 16, limited to mobile, tablet, and computer access.
