MFE-MediaForEurope is continuing its strategy of taking firmer control of ProSiebenSat.1, this time by placing one of its own executives in a leading position at Seven. One Media, the German broadcaster's advertising sales division. Nicola Lussana, a veteran executive from MFE/Mediaset’s advertising division, Publitalia ’80, has been named the new Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Seven. One Media, effective immediately.

Supporting Lussana are Dr. Markus Messerer, who will stay on as Chief Operating Officer, and Lennart Harendza, who will continue as Chief Revenue Officer. Both will keep their current positions as Managing Directors of Seven. One Media. According to ProSiebenSat.1 CEO Marco Giordani, who himself was recently appointed from MFE, “Nicola Lussana joining Seven. One Media marks an important step in strengthening the company’s presence in the German-speaking region and beyond while supporting ProSiebenSat.1’s long-term industrial growth strategy."

Giordani added that, “Together with Markus Messerer and Lennart Harendza, Seven. One Media is ideally positioned to drive forward the next chapter, based on growth and innovation.” Lussana stated that aligning the sales house’s activities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with MFE’s broader European strategy will "extend reach internationally, provide added value to customers and create additional opportunities for growth.”

This latest leadership change suggests that MFE, which is controlled by the Berlusconi family, is increasing its involvement beyond just financial matters and is now focusing on directly managing operations at ProSiebenSat.1. The move is also expected to facilitate better coordination of advertising sales, data strategies, and technology platforms across MFE’s markets in Italy, Spain, Germany, and other regions, with the potential for greater efficiency and synergy.
