The Mountain Media Center has launched a substantial 315,000-square-foot media facility dedicated to supporting live broadcast production and fostering innovation. Situated at 8900 Liberty Circle in Denver, Colorado, in the former Starz Encore building, this centralized hub accommodates numerous broadcast technology companies. Tenants include prominent names such as Mobile TV Group, EVS, VID30, Colorado Arts Productions, and ATEME.
The facility provides a comprehensive range of services, encompassing media operations, centralized production capabilities, advanced control systems, fully equipped studios, and ample office space. It also features essential infrastructure components like raised floors, robust satellite infrastructure, redundant power systems, and four audio rooms certified for Dolby Atmos immersive sound.
Nick Garvin spearheaded the establishment of the center, aiming to create a space optimized for seamless, integrated live production workflows. “Mountain Media’s goal is to establish itself as the definitive hub for live broadcast innovation,” Garvin stated.
EVS, a leader in live video production solutions, highlighted the strategic importance of the Denver location for its North American expansion. “This new office and industry-leading training facility are strategically positioned to allow us to better support our clients,” explained Bevan Gibson, executive vice president of EVS North America.
VID30, a provider of media control systems, has established its headquarters within the center. Brent Bieber, head of media control at VID30, emphasized the facility’s crucial infrastructure and redundancies, vital for their work with global streaming services. The facility's capabilities are also being leveraged by Mobile TV Group to expand its services, according to Peter Wehner, executive vice president of technology operations and engineering. Colorado Arts Productions also plans to enhance its regional presence in broadcast and film, as noted by CEO Cory Brangoccio.
Beyond broadcast-centric amenities, the facility includes a fitness center, racquetball courts, and a café. Currently undergoing renovations, completion is anticipated by summer. The center's Denver metropolitan area location provides access to a skilled workforce and benefits from geographical stability.
