MSNBC has announced plans for extensive coverage and analysis of the 2024 US presidential election on November 5th. The network will leverage its cable, digital, and social platforms to bring viewers the latest news and insights throughout the day and night.

More than 25 MSNBC anchors and hosts will lead the coverage, starting with a special primetime election program at 6 p.m. Eastern hosted by Rachel Maddow live from MSNBC Headquarters in New York City. Maddow will be joined by Nicolle Wallace, Ari Melber, Joy Reid, Chris Hayes, Alex Wagner, Lawrence O’Donnell, Stephanie Ruhle, and Jen Psaki.

Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele, and Claire McCaskill will offer their expertise from the campaign trail as part of “The Insiders” panel during the primetime coverage. Throughout the night, NBC News and MSNBC National Political Correspondent Steve Kornacki will provide state-by-state results analysis at the Big Board.

MSNBC will also feature political and election law experts, including Rick Hasen, Matt Sanderson, John Fortier, Edward Foley, Nate Persily, Franita Tolson, Michael Morse and more. These experts will contribute real-time reporting and analysis throughout the coverage.

The election coverage will begin with “Way Too Early” with Jonathan Lemire at 5 a.m., followed by Morning Joe, co-hosted by Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist at 6 a.m. Leading up to election day, special coverage on “MSNBC Reports” will commence on November 1st and continue into the following week, anchored by Ana Cabrera and José Díaz-Balart at 10 a.m. and Andrea Mitchell, Chris Jansing, and Katy Tur at noon.

Over 100 NBC News correspondents, reporters, and embeds will be deployed across key battleground states, reporting for MSNBC. At Trump Headquarters, Garrett Haake, Dasha Burns, Vaughn Hillyard, Matt Dixon and Henry Gomez will be on the ground. At Harris Headquarters, Peter Alexander, Yamiche Alcindor, Gabe Gutierrez, Natasha Korecki and Peter Nicholas will report. Monica Alba, Mike Memoli and Aaron Gilchrist will report from the White House.

The network will also have correspondents, digital reporters, producers and embeds in battleground states including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Texas, Nevada, Nebraska and more.

On Sunday, November 3rd, Rachel Maddow will host a primetime weekend special at 7 p.m. eastern. Joining Maddow will be Reid, Wallace, Alex Wagner, O’Donnell, Melber, Hayes, Psaki and Kornacki. Psaki will then host a live edition of “How to Win” at 9 p.m., followed by Ayman Mohyeldin with pre-election coverage at 10 p.m.

Two special editions of “The Weekend” will be anchored by Symone Sanders Townsend, Alicia Menendez, and Michael Steele on Saturday, November 2nd, first at 8 a.m. and then again at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, November 2nd, “The Katie Phang Show” will feature special reports focusing on Florida voters at 12 p.m. Yamiche Alcindor will then host a live edition of “The Deciders” at 4 p.m. On Sunday, November 3rd, a special program titled “Black Voters: The Road to the 2024 Election” will air at 4 p.m. hosted by Townsend, Melissa Murray, Trymaine Lee, and Charles Coleman Jr. This program will address key issues impacting Black voters during the election cycle.

Starting on Monday, November 4th, MSNBC.com and the MSNBC app will launch a live blog with the latest developments, polls, and results, featuring analysis from MSNBC anchors, columnists, and experts, including Chris Hayes, Jen Psaki, Symone Sanders Townsend, Charlie Sykes, Molly Jong-Fast, Brendan Buck, Rick Hasen and more.

Also on Monday, November 4th, Psaki will host a live election special on MSNBC’s YouTube channel to answer viewer questions.

MSNBC will offer viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the coverage with the return of the Kornacki Cam streaming on MSNBC.com, MSNBC on YouTube, @MSNBC on X and TikTok, and Peacock. This stream will provide insights into Kornacki’s analysis and the overall coverage throughout the night.
