For the second consecutive Tuesday, NBC’s “Nightly News with Tom Llamas” triumphed over ABC’s “World News Tonight” in the key adults 25-54 demographic, according to Nielsen data from July 15th. This victory represents a significant achievement, showcasing a notable shift in viewership patterns.

With 997,000 viewers in the 25-54 age group, NBC significantly outperformed ABC's 870,000, expanding the margin from the previous week. This marks the second time Tom Llamas has surpassed David Muir in this crucial demographic since assuming the anchor role on June 2nd. The July 15th broadcast also boasts the largest demographic victory during Llamas’ tenure and the second largest of the current season.

Year-over-year comparisons paint an even clearer picture of NBC's success. NBC experienced a remarkable 37 percent increase in A25-54 viewership compared to the same day in 2023, while ABC saw a 2 percent decline. This considerable disparity underscores the momentum NBC’s “Nightly News” is currently experiencing.
