NBCUniversal is set to introduce a new linear channel, NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), on Monday, November 17th, according to an official announcement. Initially, the channel will be available to YouTube TV subscribers, with Xfinity distribution following shortly after. Further announcements regarding additional pay-TV providers are expected in the future.

Branded as NBCSN, the new network will provide around-the-clock coverage of various sports events and programming, drawing from the extensive NBC Sports portfolio. The company has stated that this move is aimed at giving pay-TV subscribers greater access to content that is also available on Peacock.

Matt Schnaars, president of platform distribution and partnerships at NBCUniversal, explained that NBCSN is designed to provide viewers with aggregated viewing experiences, bolster partnerships with leagues and conferences, and offer advertisers access to live sports audiences.

Programming highlights on NBCSN will include Monday night NBA games, NBA playoffs, Premier League soccer, and Big Ten and Notre Dame football. Coverage will also encompass men’s and women’s basketball from the Big Ten, Big East and Big 12 conferences, along with Major League Baseball games under an upcoming agreement. Additional content will feature Olympic sports, cycling events, WNBA games, and major golf tournaments, including the U.S. Open and The Open Championship.

The channel will also feature “Gold Zone,” a whip-around program covering the Milan Cortina Olympic Winter Games in February 2026, hosted by Scott Hanson. Furthermore, NBCSN’s schedule will include studio shows such as “PFT Live,” “The Dan Patrick Show,” “The Dan Le Batard Show” and “Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew Berry.” NBCUniversal has not yet released a comprehensive distribution schedule beyond the initial launches on YouTube TV and Xfinity.
