Sky has extended its partnership with the DP World Tour, securing broadcast rights for the Ryder Cup and DP World Tour events until 2029 in the UK and Ireland. This four-year extension ensures that Sky Sports and NOW will remain the exclusive home for the next two editions of the prestigious golf team event.

The agreement, commencing in 2026, includes coverage of the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 contest at Hazeltine in the United States. This announcement follows Team Europe’s victory at Bethpage Black in 2025, which became the most-watched weekend in Sky Sports history, attracting 5 million viewers over three days. The Sunday singles match achieved record-breaking peak viewership for golf on Sky, with one in four TV viewers and over 40% of under-35s tuning in. Additionally, Sky Sports' social channels garnered 55 million views, and digital page views reached 12.4 million throughout the week.

Sky will continue to broadcast the DP World Tour’s global schedule, featuring events in 25 countries in 2026, including five Rolex Series events: the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Genesis Scottish Open, BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship, and DP World Tour Championship. Coverage will encompass live linear broadcasts, streaming on NOW, and extensive news and highlights across Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports News, the Sky Sports app, skysports.com, and social media platforms.

Sky Sports chief sports officer Jonathan Licht stated that the extension arrives as golf viewership “reaches record heights”, citing Ryder Cup ratings and record audiences for the Amgen Irish Open. DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings noted growing TV and on-site audiences, describing the Ryder Cup as producing “levels of drama that few other sporting events can match”.

Sky Sports remains the exclusive UK and Irish broadcaster of all four men’s majors and all five women’s majors, solidifying its position as the leading platform for year-round premium golf coverage. This deal strengthens Sky Sports' golf portfolio, which already includes rights to the PGA Tour. DAZN currently broadcasts every LIV Golf event live in the UK.
