Vectra, a leading Polish cable operator, has significantly expanded its Video-on-Demand (VOD) offerings with the addition of BBC Player. This integration brings over 1,000 hours of British television series, films, and factual programming to Vectra subscribers, all at no additional cost for customers within selected service bundles.

The BBC Player is now accessible to both new and existing Vectra customers who subscribe to the Platinum package (offering 171 channels), the Super Film & Sport package (with 193 channels), or the internet TV Max package (featuring 108 channels) which includes a decoder. Subscription prices begin at PLN 69.99 (approximately €16.50) per month for the Platinum package and PLN 109.99 (around €26.00) for the Super Film & Sport package, both on 23-month contracts with the first three months offered for free. The Max internet TV package with a decoder is available from PLN 44.99 (around €10.60) on either an 11-month contract or on a rolling monthly basis.

The extensive BBC Player catalogue includes a diverse range of content, from gripping crime and comedy series to insightful nature and science programs, engaging documentaries, lifestyle shows, and entertaining children’s content. This agreement is part of a broader, multi-year partnership between BBC Studios and Vectra.

In addition to the BBC Player integration, CBeebies will be added to Vectra’s Multimedia offer from the Maxbox tier upwards, starting from November 5th. Furthermore, access to BBC First has been expanded in recent months to include Minibox, Superbox, and Maxbox customers.

“We are delighted that BBC Player is joining our offering,” stated Krzysztof Sokolik, CMO and board member at Vectra S.A., emphasizing the availability of “true British classics, gripping documentaries and captivating crime stories” all in one convenient location.

Bartosz Witak, General Manager & SVP BBC Studios CEE & MENAT, highlighted the strategic importance of partnerships like the one with Vectra for expanding the reach of BBC content in Poland. He also noted that the BBC Player catalogue encompasses a wide array of programming, from crime dramas to content for children.

The addition of BBC Player is the latest in a series of streaming service integrations on Vectra’s platform. Vectra already aggregates other popular services such as Disney+, Netflix, HBO Max (including the “TV and Sport Channels” add-on), CANAL+, Eleven Sports, and Filmbox+.

BBC Player was initially launched in Poland in June 2022.
