Ocilion, an Austrian IPTV service provider, has introduced its latest generation white-label IPTV platform, featuring a revamped user interface (UI6) and the P610 set-top box, built on Google’s Android TV Operator Tier. According to the company, the redesigned user interface has been entirely re-engineered to provide a user-friendly and modern TV experience.
The company claims that UI6 offers enhanced usability, improved content discovery and promotion capabilities, along with intelligent voice search. Network operators have the ability to completely customize the interface to reflect their own brand identity. Customers will experience UI6 not only on the new P610 device but also on existing P500 and P400 models, protecting investments in current installations. Ocilion is maintaining existing integrations to simplify migration, allowing operators to adopt the new platform without technical adjustments.
The upgraded system includes extended privacy protection, self-service features, upselling options for add-ons like channel packages, storage, and VOD content, and standardized APIs for CRM integration and provisioning. Operators can also use online tools for configuration, monitoring, operation, and reporting. Along with the software upgrade, Ocilion is expanding its data center infrastructure to boost performance, capacity, and security.
The P610 set-top box, pre-installed with the UI6 interface, is the sixth generation of Ocilion hardware. Running on Android TV, the P610 gives operators a fully branded IPTV product, providing access to popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, and other services. Powered by the Amlogic 905X5M processor, the device supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 4K resolution, HDR, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. Designed for high performance and low power consumption, the box is paired with a premium remote control developed with Austrian manufacturer Ruwido.
Hans Kühberger, Managing Director of Ocilion, stated, "We are delighted to be delivering our new P610 set-top box to the first network operators, allowing end-users to enjoy our next-generation hardware and UI6 interface. With this launch, we’re offering customers a highly attractive entertainment platform and users a first-class, modern TV and streaming experience with all the relevant content available on a high-performance platform – all in the individual look and feel of the operator."
