ProSiebenSat.1 has announced a significant change in its leadership structure following the acquisition of a majority stake by MFE-MediaForEurope. Two members of the Supervisory Board, Klára Brachtlová and Christoph Mainusch, have stepped down, effective immediately.
Brachtlová, representing the Czech investment group PPF, had been on the board since 2020. Her departure is a direct consequence of PPF selling its shares to MFE as part of the takeover deal. Mainusch, an independent member who joined in 2024, also resigned, allowing for appointments better reflecting the new shareholder structure.
The broadcaster intends to fill the vacancies quickly, stating that it will seek court appointments for two new Supervisory Board members “shortly”. Maria Kyriacou, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, expressed gratitude to the departing members for their contributions, particularly towards the company’s digital transformation.
This reshuffle is a key step for MFE as it works to consolidate its control over ProSiebenSat.1 and integrate the German broadcaster into its broader European media holdings. The move signifies a major shift in the company's governance and future direction.
