Sky has introduced Sky Glass Air, a new, budget-friendly version of its integrated streaming television. Available from just £6 per month for both new and existing customers, Sky Glass Air offers a compelling alternative to the original Sky Glass. The device officially launches on Tuesday, June 10th.

Powered by the same Sky OS software as the Sky Glass Gen 2 and Sky Stream, Sky Glass Air boasts a 4K HDR Quantum Dot screen with global dimming and contrast enhancement, delivering sharp visuals. While it features a Dolby Audio speaker system, unlike the higher-end model, it omits the Dolby Atmos soundbar found in the Sky Glass Gen 2, opting instead for a more basic 2.0 stereo setup.

Customers can choose from three colours – Sea Green, Carbon Grey, and Cotton White – and three sizes: 43-inch (£6/month), 55-inch (£10/month), and 65-inch (£13/month). Sky is positioning Sky Glass Air as an ideal second TV for the home.

Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, stated, “With Sky Glass Air, we’re bringing the Sky experience to more people through a beautifully designed TV with stunning picture quality from just £6 a month. It’s all about giving people better for less: more choice, great tech, and the content they love, without compromising on quality. From the ultimate performance of Glass Gen 2 to the incredible value of Air, there’s now a Sky Glass to suit everyone, whether you’re new to Sky or already with us.”

The Sky Glass Air includes hands-free voice control for easy navigation, a playlist feature for managing viewing, and 30 additional genre rails on the homepage for personalized content suggestions.

It's worth noting that Sky has also recently launched the Sky Glass Gen 2, featuring a brighter 4K HDR screen and a seven-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, starting at £14/month. This provides consumers with a range of options to suit different budgets and preferences.
