Sky Sports has strengthened its long-term relationship with the National Football League (NFL), agreeing to a new three-year contract. This deal will bring UK and Ireland viewers more live NFL games than ever before.
Under this arrangement, Sky Sports will broadcast over half of all NFL games live, with expanded coverage on Sunday evenings. Fans will enjoy a first-pick exclusive game at 6pm on Sundays, a first-pick game at 9pm, and a second 6pm game. A significant development is Sky's commitment to airing all NFL London and Europe games, including the inaugural matches in Ireland and Spain, substantially broadening international reach.
This enhanced schedule represents a remarkable increase—nearly 50% more live matches for Sky Sports subscribers. The popular NFL RedZone program, alongside Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, Thanksgiving Day games, the Playoffs, and Super Bowl LX (live from Levi’s Stadium in California on February 8, 2026), will remain key offerings.
“This expanded partnership reflects the growing appetite for NFL in the UK,” said Jonathan Licht, Chief Sports Officer UK & Ireland. “With more games than ever before, we’re pleased to offer greater value to our customers and continue delivering high-quality coverage.”
NFL executives shared similar enthusiasm. Gerrit Meier, Managing Director and Head of NFL International, highlighted the UK’s importance in the league’s global strategy: “Sky Sports has played a key role in growing the NFL’s presence in the UK, and this deal helps us reach even more fans.” Laura Louisy, Director of NFL International Business Development and Media, added: “This agreement ensures fans can follow the NFL season from kickoff to Super Bowl with more choice than ever before.”
Games will air across Sky Sports NFL, Sky Sports+, and Sky Sports Mix. The dedicated NFL channel, launched in 2020, will continue its round-the-clock coverage and flagship programming from NFL Network, including Good Morning Football and The Insiders. The 2025 NFL season starts September 4, with Sky’s complete broadcast team and schedule to be announced soon.
