Telemundo is gearing up to launch its official song, “Somos Más,” for the FIFA World Cup 2026 during the upcoming 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The premiere will take place live on October 23rd at 8 p.m. Eastern. The network collaborated with celebrated artists Carlos Vives, Emilia, Wisin, and Xavi to create the vibrant track.
This song will serve as the main theme for Telemundo's extensive Spanish-language coverage of the highly anticipated tournament. “Somos Más” is inspired by various Latin music styles and instruments, embodying the World Cup’s inclusive “We Are 26” campaign that promotes diversity.
The lyrics emphasize unity, global pride, and the passionate spirit of fandom, with phrases like “Cada vez, somos más,” designed to resonate with fans. The song features the voices of Colombian singer Carlos Vives, Argentinian pop sensation Emilia, Puerto Rican reggaeton star Wisin, and Mexican-American singer-songwriter Xavi.
Francisco “Cisco” Suarez, executive vice president, primetime unscripted and specials, Telemundo, stated: “Telemundo’s World Cup anthem is more than a song — it’s a celebration." The network possesses the exclusive U.S. Spanish-language broadcast rights for the tournament.
According to the information the network plans to broadcast all 104 matches live, with 92 airing on Telemundo and 12 on Universo. All games will also be streamed live on Peacock and through the Telemundo app. Joaquin Duro, executive vice president, sports, Telemundo, said: “This anthem is a tribute to the global spirit of fútbol and the communities we serve.”
Telemundo will have reporters at all 104 matches, offering their most expansive coverage for a men’s World Cup yet. Extensive pre-game, halftime, and post-match content is also planned across multiple platforms.
