The Telemundo Station Group is set to offer comprehensive coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw with a pair of live specials on Friday, December 5, 2025. These free, ad-supported streaming television regional news channels will broadcast from Washington, D.C.

“Modo Fútbol: El Sorteo” (“Football Mode: The Draw”) will air at 2 p.m. Eastern, followed by “Pasión Fútbol: El Sorteo” (“Football Passion: The Draw”) at 8 p.m. These half-hour shows will deliver real-time reaction, on-the-ground reporting, and expert analysis immediately after the qualified national teams are assigned to their respective groups for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The programs will originate from both Miami and Washington, D.C., and will feature updates from correspondents in key host cities across the nation. According to Osvaldo “Ozzie” Martínez, executive vice president of multiplatform news, original programming & standards for Telemundo Station Group, “Our streaming channels continue expanding access to premium sports and live event coverage. These specials bring viewers across the country closer to one of the key moments on the road to FIFA World Cup.”

Both specials will be available across Telemundo Station Group’s four regional FAST channels: Noticias Telemundo California, Noticias Telemundo Florida, Noticias Telemundo Noreste, and Noticias Telemundo Texas. These channels can be accessed on leading streaming services, connected TV devices, and Telemundo-owned station digital platforms. The programs will be re-aired throughout Friday evening and the weekend on all four FAST channels.

In addition to the specials, Noticias Telemundo Texas will broadcast additional World Cup related programming on December 5, including “Houston: Camino al Mundial” (“Houston: Road to the World Cup”) and a live post-draw analysis.

“Modo Fútbol: El Sorteo” will be produced by Telemundo 51 Miami, WSCV. Telemundo 47 Nueva York, WNJU, and Telemundo 52 Los Angeles, KVEA, will collaborate on the production of “Pasión Fútbol: El Sorteo.” The FIFA World Cup 2026 marks the first time in over 30 years that the tournament will be held in North America, commencing on June 11, 2026. Telemundo holds the exclusive Spanish-language broadcast rights for the FIFA World Cup 26 in the United States.
