Triveni Digital, a leader in ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 service delivery, and Brazilian technology provider Mirakulo, have announced a groundbreaking collaboration. They've developed a dynamic ad insertion delivery system designed for ATSC 3.0 and Brazilian TV 3.0 (DTV+) over-the-air platforms. This system allows for the selection and playback of ads on TV receivers based on viewer location and viewing habits, representing a major leap forward in broadcast advertising.
“Our partnership with Triveni Digital represents a significant step forward in broadcast advertising technology,” said David Britto, CEO of Mirakulo. “By combining our expertise in ATSC 3.0 and TV 3.0, we’re opening new doors for broadcasters to enhance their revenue streams while delivering more relevant content to viewers.”
This new system uses the adaptability of ATSC 3.0, offering broadcasters a feature previously exclusive to streaming services. This end-to-end solution delivers targeted ads over the air, enabling personalized advertising while integrating smoothly with existing broadcast infrastructure. Compatible with both ATSC 3.0 and Brazil’s TV 3.0 standards, it seamlessly integrates with Triveni’s products like GuideBuilder XM and the ATSC 3.0 Broadcast Gateway.
The success of this solution stems from Triveni Digital’s broadcast technology expertise combined with Mirakulo’s extensive experience and relationships with Brazilian TV receiver manufacturers. This collaboration allows broadcasters to significantly increase revenue per ad slot and simplifies future implementations in other markets.
“Mirakulo has successfully solved the technical and business issues associated with building a commercially viable dynamic ad insertion delivery system on prior generation TV delivery platforms,” said Mark Simpson, president and CEO of Triveni Digital. “We are excited to combine our expertise to shape the future of broadcasting and anticipate continued collaboration in Brazil, with the potential to impact other markets such as the U.S.”
