Vodafone Group has made a significant technology decision, selecting German software provider 3SS and its 3Ready product platform to spearhead its next-generation Vodafone TV. The decision follows a thorough Request for Proposal (RFP) process, with Vodafone Group opting for 3SS to lead the development of a new TV user experience (UX) built upon the 3Ready framework. This includes the core product architecture and a central control center.

The new Vodafone TV platform, powered by 3Ready, promises a wide reach, deploying across numerous countries and a variety of devices. Currently, Vodafone TV services are operational in Germany, Portugal, Romania, Albania, Czechia, Greece, and Ireland. The scalability of 3Ready is already proven, with its utilization by more than 20 telecommunications companies and TV operators globally.

According to 3SS, platforms like 3Ready offer significant advantages to aggregators such as Vodafone. The ability to curate content from diverse sources, encompassing both internal and third-party providers, allows for a highly personalized viewer experience. This tailored approach targets various user segments across all available screens, providing a considerable competitive edge. "We are extremely proud and delighted that Vodafone Group selected 3SS as the right partner, and 3Ready as the right foundation, on which to build its next generation Vodafone TV multi-territory services," said Kai-Christian Borchers, Managing Director of 3SS.
