The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be officially broadcast on the Ukrainian satellite platform Viasat UA. The operator has placed a test broadcast of Suspilne Sport RM on one of its satellite transponders Astra 4A (4.8° E).
Suspilne Sport RM should be understood as Suspilne Sport, Regional Broadcasting. The channel is broadcast in HEVC/H.265 codec in HD resolution and encrypted in Verimatrix. Currently, there is a test broadcast, during which the Lviv regional channel Suspilne broadcasts in HD quality.
The World Cup competitions are held every 4 years, but for the first time in the history of football, the World Cup will be held not in summer, but in winter. Viasat UA customers will have a unique opportunity to watch live matches of the group stage, as well as the playoffs under number 11 in EPG. Group matches will be played at 11:00, 14:00, 17:00 and 20:00, and in the playoff stage no more than 2 matches per day at 16:00 and 20:00.
Suspilne Sport RM is a channel created by the Ukrainian public broadcasting company "Suspilne" and available to subscribers of paid satellite television in cooperation with the operator Viasat UA.
